🏅Honorable Mention / Deeper Perspective-Deeper Perspective
Since Bakan has memories, weaving is an inseparable part of the life of the Sediq tribe. She personally planted and harvested ramie. She peeled the barks and twisted them into lines, and then wound them around the weaving tool. At the age of 19, she focused on her own dowry and made a preparation for it.
"These woven fabrics will never be sold, which I want to give to my daughter as a family heirloom," the lady, who is now 84 years old said firmly. The woven fabrics in her hand are more than 60 years old, which also show the belief of the Sediq women in their cultural identity.
